This is my interpretation of the theme ‘Forward’ for the Weekly Photo Challenge @ The Daily Post
A shy young Cambodian monk preparing for the life ahead of him in the monastery. Of all the photos we took on this trip, this image is burned into my memory more than any other.

Lovely capture. The way the light highlights the colour of his robe seems to underscore all his chosen path stands for; and to add weight to his considerations.
Thank you and well said.
This is a beautiful picture!
Loved the Cambodian monks. Lovely shot. I posted a few in my entry for “Foreign” a while back. It’s here https://travelsandtrifles.wordpress.com/2012/10/30/weekly-photo-challenge-foreign/
Thanks Tina. I checked out your series of shots and they are beautiful.

A lovely photo. The depth of color in those orange robes is amazing, and one day I hope to visit Cambodia.
Thanks Terri! You should definitely plan a trip as it’s stunning.
A touching image – he seems so deep in thought…
Thanks. Love your blog!
That’s very kind – thank you!
Beautiful image. Love the layers of vertical lines – like corridors of his life going forward.
Extraordinary photo! The orange really just pops in the picture.
Thanks so much Ameena.
